About the position

Comcast is seeking a versatile and dynamic Product Manager to join our team in Philadelphia, PA. This role is pivotal in defining product requirements and prioritizing feature development to ensure excellent product delivery. The Product Manager will identify opportunities to enhance the product experience, translating these opportunities into user stories, tracking the progress of development, and monitoring success as the product goes to market. Under general direction, the Product Manager will manage day-to-day responsibilities for individuals performing various tasks in the same business function, setting priorities, translating objectives, and guiding execution. This position requires collaboration with project teams to understand business and user needs, helping to refine requirements at a feature level. The Product Manager may also manage a team, providing subject matter guidance as required, and will develop processes and procedures to drive departmental efficiencies while assisting in the development and meeting of the departmental budget. The ideal candidate will be a generalist with the ability to adapt and excel across various functions within the product lifecycle. This role requires a strategic thinker who can define product requirements, prioritize feature development, and ensure exceptional product delivery. The Product Manager will facilitate build vs. buy decision-making, define product requirements, and prioritize feature development to ensure excellent product delivery. They will work closely with platforms and development teams to support implementation and launch plans, ensuring alignment of the product backlog with business value or return on investment (ROI). Additionally, the role involves establishing a reporting structure to track customer behavior and ensure transparency in data flows within and to/from the product, refining UI and UX designs based on MVE requirements and intended use cases.

Responsibilities

  • Translate business requirements into experience and platform requirements to support Minimum Viable Products (MVP).
  • Identify user stories and criteria for evaluating new functionality.
  • Facilitate build vs. buy decision-making.
  • Define product requirements and prioritize feature development to ensure excellent product delivery.
  • Identify opportunities to develop and enhance the product experience, translate these opportunities into user stories, track progress of development, and monitor success as the product goes to market.
  • Work with project teams to understand business and user needs, helping to refine requirements at a feature level.
  • Provide subject matter guidance to employees as required.
  • Identify new opportunities to support specific market KPIs and establish long-term vision and strategy for experiences and platforms.
  • Plan and prioritize product feature backlog for development by product engineering teams.
  • Ensure alignment of the product backlog with business value or return on investment (ROI).
  • Establish a reporting structure to track customer behavior and ensure transparency in data flows within and to/from the product.
  • Refine UI and UX designs based on MVE requirements and intended use cases.
  • Work closely with platforms and development teams to support the implementation and launch plans.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field.
  • 5-7 years of relevant work experience in product management.
  • Proven experience in product management, with a track record of defining and delivering successful products.
  • Strong ability to translate business objectives and user needs into clear product requirements and actionable user stories.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively across different functions and levels of the organization.
  • Ability to think strategically and act tactically, with a keen eye for detail and a passion for continuous improvement.
  • Preferred tool/software knowledge: Adobe Suite, Microsoft Suite, Smart Sheet, Confluence and/or Jira.
