About the position

The Product Manager - Downstream Marketing role at Abbott focuses on leading marketing strategies for the Neuromodulation business, which includes implantable devices for chronic pain and movement disorders. This position is responsible for understanding customer needs, conducting market research, and developing product roadmaps to drive growth and innovation in the therapy area.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the voice of the patient, clinician, and sales representative on development programs.
  • Develop and own customer requirements, providing benchmark analysis against competitive solutions.
  • Perform market research, competitive analysis, forecasting, and ROI justification for features and improvements.
  • Conduct qualitative and quantitative research to define an insight-driven product roadmap.
  • Set growth vision for the therapy area, identify unmet needs and new markets, and advocate for solutions.
  • Contribute to the annual marketing plan by providing market segmentation, targeting, positioning, and aspects of the marketing mix.
  • Lead global commercial launch planning and execution for new products and indications.
  • Manage portfolio lifecycle including clinical data planning, inventory and pricing strategy, competitive planning, and market assessments.
  • Represent the business during product demonstrations, testing programs, advisory boards, and events.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree
  • 5+ years of product marketing and commercial launch experience within the medical device or similar industry, with at least 2 years of commercial marketing experience.

  • Knowledge/experience with customer base including pain management specialists, neurosurgeons, and orthopedic spine surgeons.
  • Experience with implantable devices.
