About the position

The Federal Certification Analyst at F5 plays a crucial role in supporting compliance audits and assessments for various Federal Certification standards, including FIPS, Common Criteria, and DodIN APL. This position involves collaboration with product development teams and external certifying bodies to ensure timely feedback and remediation of issues, while maintaining communication with all stakeholders involved in the certification process.

Responsibilities

  • Provide support for product management certifications for software and hardware.
  • Align with procurement, legal, and security for third-party onboarding activities for new or updated third parties.
  • Balance third-party evaluation rotation to avoid bottlenecks and delays in certification processes.
  • Manage third-party gap analysis, including scheduling and transitioning official reports into JIRA tickets.
  • Actively participate in all onsite evaluations.
  • Budget, order, and ship physical equipment and tools to labs or onsite for timely testing prior to third-party testing.
  • Collaborate closely with product management, product development, and certification architects across certification efforts.
  • Track certification-specific status and open initiatives for issues raised by third parties that may delay certification.
  • Manage business finances related to invoice approval, milestone tracking against payments, and reconciliation.
  • Maintain the F5 Certification public-facing dashboard.

Requirements

  • Experience with external Federal Certification standards such as FIPS, Common Criteria, and DodIN APL.
  • Strong collaboration skills with product development teams and product management.
  • Experience in supporting third-party test efforts and creating JIRA tickets for issue remediation.
  • Ability to manage certification-specific documentation and provide feedback to relevant parties.
  • Experience with business finances, including invoice approval and milestone tracking.

Nice-to-haves

  • Familiarity with government schemas and certifying bodies such as DISA and Common Criteria Certifiers.
  • Experience in managing Statements of Work (SOW) and government CRADAs for testing.
  • Knowledge of budgeting and logistics for equipment shipping and testing.
