About the position

The Product Manager (Federal Health) at Deloitte plays a crucial role in delivering innovative technology solutions to federal, state, and local government agencies, as well as higher education institutions. This position involves advising clients on best practices, managing technical teams, and contributing to business development efforts while fostering relationships with key stakeholders. The role emphasizes collaboration, leadership, and the ability to navigate complex client environments to enhance user experiences and drive measurable results.

Responsibilities

  • Advise clients on leading practices and technology/industry trends, application/integration architecture, solution design, and implementation leading practices.
  • Build lasting relationships through day-to-day interactions with key client managers and staff.
  • Deliver solutions that allow clients to achieve their business strategy by leveraging functional/technical experience.
  • Present technical alternatives and recommendations aligned with the client's business and technology requirements.
  • Contribute to project estimating, planning, contracting, and staffing activities.
  • Manage technical and/or functional teams to design, build, test, and implement enterprise applications.
  • Anticipate, raise, and resolve issues that pose risks to the project.
  • Monitor progress and quality, tracking and reporting status.
  • Participate in sales pursuits as a team member or subject matter advisor, presenting proposals to highlight relevant experiences.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with client stakeholders to establish and maintain status as a trusted advisor.
  • Mentor and coach team members to help them achieve their career objectives, participating in recruiting and onboarding activities.
  • Contribute to go-to-market and internal initiatives that drive growth, efficiency, and quality.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Systems Engineering, Information Technology, Information Systems, Computer Engineering, or related IT discipline; or equivalent experience.
  • 6+ years of consulting and/or relevant industry experience.
  • Full life-cycle Salesforce implementation and product delivery experience.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a creative, agile environment and manage agile task assignments.
  • Prior experience managing and/or leading teams.
  • Ability to work alongside cross-functional teams to deliver client solutions, system enhancements, and O&M releases.
  • Salesforce integration skills, integrating Salesforce with MuleSoft or other middleware products.
  • Client-facing experience working with business and IT client stakeholders in leading architectural/technical design and gaining acceptance from cross-functional teams.
  • Strong core consulting skills such as organization and communication, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to travel 20%-50%, on average, based on the work and clients served.
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship.

Nice-to-haves

  • Demonstrate knowledge of Salesforce product offerings.
  • Self-starter with proven ability to successfully kick-start new initiatives and drive complex issues through analysis and resolution.
  • Strong understanding of architectural design patterns including SOA, Micro-Services, object-oriented design patterns, and common integration patterns.
  • Prior professional services or government consulting experience.
