About the position

The position at Merz Therapeutics involves supporting the development, implementation, and execution of strategic and tactical marketing plans aimed at increasing brand identity and awareness for Inbrija and Ampyra, specifically targeting healthcare professionals (HCPs) and payers. The role requires collaboration with various internal and external partners to ensure effective marketing strategies and campaigns are executed, while also managing budgets and fostering relationships with key stakeholders.

Responsibilities

  • Owns and creates annual brand plans and strategies for patients, in coordination with HCP and Payer plans.
  • Executes strategies and tactics including print, digital, and social media for the brand, targeting both patients and HCPs.
  • Utilizes market research to inform marketing programs.
  • Creates promotional and non-promotional campaign marketing materials and collaborates with the promotional review committee for approvals.
  • Builds effective cross-functional relationships with key internal customers such as sales, medical, legal, and regulatory teams.
  • Establishes strong relationships and partnerships to advance the treatment of patient diseases within label scope.
  • Leads partnerships with external vendors to ensure timely completion of marketing projects.
  • Partners with relevant functions to develop strategies that improve patient access to medicines.
  • Assumes budget accountability for assigned projects and monitors costs against budget.
  • Develops and delivers presentations to commercial management and other internal groups.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in science or business required.
  • 2-3+ years experience in HCP product marketing in specialty pharma, biotechnology, or life sciences.
  • 1-2 years recent experience in Parkinson's disease patient promotion; experience in multiple sclerosis is a plus.
  • Commercial pharmaceutical drug experience is required.
  • HCP product launch experience is necessary.
  • Brand management experience is essential.
  • Strong project management skills with the ability to prioritize responsibilities.
  • Demonstrated ability to work cross-functionally with other departments to achieve business goals.
  • Negotiating skills with business partners or management are required.
  • Ability to work in a dynamic, fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
  • Excellent organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with promotional review committee is preferred.
