About the position

The Product Manager for Healthcare Marketing at PDI plays a crucial role in driving business growth within the Environment of Care (EoC) portfolio. This position is primarily focused on the upstream marketing aspect, which involves the introduction of innovative product and service solutions tailored to meet the needs of the infection prevention market. The individual in this role will be responsible for developing a comprehensive understanding of PDI's product offerings and the competitive landscape, ensuring that the voice of the customer is represented throughout the product development process. The Product Manager will work cross-functionally to execute a product portfolio strategy that emphasizes disruptive and differentiated technologies aimed at addressing unmet customer needs. This includes building a robust knowledge base of customer insights, conducting competitor analysis, and understanding market dynamics within the EoC sector. The role also involves supporting the development and execution of a product portfolio strategy, determining the right mix of products and solutions across core, adjacent, and transformational innovation opportunities. Additionally, the Product Manager will be tasked with developing business cases for new product introductions based on thorough market research and customer insights. They will represent marketing and the voice of the customer in the product development process, defining product requirements, and collaborating closely with the product development team to drive products from project initiation to launch. Performance metrics for this role will include top-line sales, operating income, the number of new products introduced, and the timeliness and performance of launch planning against objectives related to the EoC strategy.

Responsibilities

  • Build a comprehensive knowledge base of customer insights, competitor analysis, and market dynamics within the Environment of Care sector.
  • Support the development and execution of a product portfolio strategy, determining the right portfolio mix of products/solutions across core, adjacent, and transformational innovation opportunities.
  • Develop business cases for new product introduction based on market research and customer insights.
  • Represent marketing and voice of customer in the product development process, defining product requirements and working collaboratively with the product development team to drive product through the product development process from project initiation to launch.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent required; MBA preferred.
  • Proven experience in product management and marketing in the healthcare industry, including regulatory requirements, industry trends, and customer needs.
  • Strong understanding of the end-to-end product development lifecycle, including requirements gathering, design, development, testing, and launch.
  • In-depth knowledge of market research methodologies, competitor analysis, and the ability to interpret and leverage data to drive strategic decisions.
  • 5 years or more product management and marketing experience in healthcare; upstream marketing experience preferred.
  • Experience collaborating in cross-functional product development projects.
  • Experience developing business cases to support a new product or initiative.
  • Experience driving product development projects from conception to launch.
