About the position

The Hivemind Pilot (HMP) Product Manager plays a crucial role in guiding the development and product roadmap for the AI and autonomy software created by Shield AI, which is utilized in real-world aircraft. In this position, you will be responsible for setting priorities for software releases, which will be informed by a comprehensive understanding of both internal and external autonomy needs. This understanding will be cultivated through direct interactions with autonomy engineers and technical directors, as well as a thorough grasp of the technical landscape and the requirements of both government and commercial customers. As the owner and primary driver of Shield AI's autonomy software, you will ensure that the product meets the highest standards of quality and capability. This will involve collaboration with engineering leadership to create and oversee solutions to some of the most challenging autonomy problems, such as multi-agent teaming, resilience to communications and GPS/GNSS jamming, inertial and visual state estimation, and multi-modal and multi-hypothesis object tracking. You will also interface directly with customers to gain insights into their goals, needs, and priorities regarding autonomy, which will inform the development of product requirements. As an expert user and evangelist for your product, you will ensure that Hivemind Pilot possesses world-class capabilities, extensibility, quality, and documentation. Additionally, you will need to understand the business and technical landscape that impacts your product, ensuring alignment with customer expectations and market demands.
