About the position

The Product Manager for Hospitality APIs at Travelport is responsible for the vision, strategy, and execution of API product offerings related to hotels, cars, and rail services. This role involves cross-functional collaboration with engineering, sales, marketing, and customer experience teams to ensure the delivery of scalable and user-friendly API solutions that meet client needs. The position emphasizes data-driven decision-making and creative problem-solving to enhance product offerings and customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and articulate the product roadmap for hospitality APIs, aligning with strategic goals and customer needs.
  • Define key performance indicators (KPIs) and success metrics for API products.
  • Conduct customer interviews and market analysis to identify industry trends and opportunities.
  • Oversee the end-to-end lifecycle of API products from ideation to optimization.
  • Collaborate with engineering teams for timely delivery of features and bug fixes.
  • Work with sales and marketing teams to create go-to-market strategies and customer onboarding materials.
  • Engage with customer experience teams to gather feedback and resolve API integration issues.

Requirements

  • Strong technical understanding of APIs, including RESTful services, JSON, webhooks, and integration best practices.
  • Excellent problem-solving, communication, and presentation skills.
  • Familiarity with API design tools (Swagger, Postman) and version control systems (Git).
  • Knowledge of agile and product management techniques, tools, and principles.
  • Ability to connect larger business goals with product strategy and backlog alignment.
  • Customer-centric mindset to translate needs into actionable product features.
  • Effective ownership and prioritization of the product backlog.
