About the position

The Product Manager at Oak Ridge National Laboratory (ORNL) will focus on business analysis support for application development and support projects within the Facility & Mobile Computing team. This role combines responsibilities typical of a Project Manager, Product Owner, Business Analyst, and Tester, ensuring effective collaboration within an agile software development team to gather requirements, manage product backlogs, and execute test plans.

Responsibilities

• Participate in requirements gathering by analyzing and defining business needs.
• Create and manage official software requirements and documentation.
• Develop end-to-end acceptance test plans traceable to requirements documents.
• Execute acceptance test plans and document results for compliance.
• Investigate reported software defects and document technical issues with recommendations.
• Collaborate with application owners and software developers to resolve issues.
• Enter, manage, and track user stories in project management tools.
• Promote diversity, equity, inclusion, and accessibility in the workplace.

Requirements

• BS degree in computer science, computer engineering, information systems, information technology, business, or a related field.
• 5 to 7 years of aligned professional experience.
• 2 to 4 years of experience in facilitating, gathering, and documenting user requirements.
• Excellent communication, organizational, time management, and problem-solving skills.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with the development and execution of test plans.
• Experience working as a member of an Agile project team.
