About the position

The Product Manager is responsible for overseeing the entire life cycle of citizen-facing digital services products. This role involves defining product scope, building technology, and delivering solutions that meet user needs while aligning with the strategic priorities of the Information Technology department and Arapahoe County.

Responsibilities

• Develops, manages and maintains strategic short-term and long-term roadmaps for technology products for business partners.
• Collaborates with business partners to ensure optimal usage of technology and identify strategic business function opportunities.
• Leads information gathering conversations with end users to obtain needs and requirements, determining scope and prioritization of activities.
• Researches and identifies potential products, develops product requirements, and determines specifications and pricing for product introduction.
• Collaborates with vendors and/or development staff to achieve product requirements effectively.
• Works with IT leadership to create and implement product business strategies that align with IT architecture and infrastructure.
• Manages customer expectations regarding IT Services and identifies gaps between business needs and IT services.
• Promotes creativity and drives innovation by staying updated on industry and technology trends.

Requirements

• Bachelors' Degree in IT related field
• 8+ years of functional experience in information technology and the software industry in roles such as Business Analyst, Product Owner, or Product Manager.
• 5+ years experience facilitating the development and implementation of technical business initiatives and leading projects.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience in UX design/development
• Familiarity with application programming and database design
• Knowledge of design thinking methodologies
