About the position

The Product Manager I role at Citizens Financial Group Inc. focuses on managing and developing mortgage products, ensuring compliance with investor guidelines, and leading project management efforts. This position requires strong analytical skills, project management experience, and the ability to collaborate across various departments to deliver high-quality mortgage products.

Responsibilities

• Deliver conventional, government, and private investor mortgage products.
• Analyze and interpret Investor Announcements and create development plans for implementation of guidelines and product changes.
• Lead project management efforts for product development initiatives, engaging required stakeholders.
• Provide guideline interpretation and impact to systems liaison and IT/Development for new/existing products.
• Manage product projects, including defining project scope, business requirements, and testing cases.
• Conduct project team meetings and prepare agendas/minutes.
• Create and revise comprehensive internal and external Operations/Selling Guides.
• Monitor product performance post-launch and recommend adjustments as needed.
• Support sales and operations in guideline interpretation and risk control.

Requirements

• 3+ years of mortgage banking experience with direct experience in product development/management and project management.
• In-depth knowledge of Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac, FHA, VA, Ginnie Mae, and other mortgage products and guidelines.
• Strong organizational and project management skills, with experience in SDLC including Waterfall and Agile methodologies.
• Strong analytical skills with attention to detail and excellent problem-solving capabilities.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively with cross-departmental teams.
• Experience in relationship building and management across multiple business lines.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with Black Knight Empower, MSP, and PPE's.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office 365, including Word, Excel, Visio, Access, Project, SharePoint, and Jira.
