About the position

The Brand (Product) Manager at McCormick & Company is responsible for the development and execution of strategic marketing activities for the Customer Brands portfolio, aiming to achieve sales and profit goals. This role encompasses managing the Customer Brands P&L, implementing growth initiatives, and overseeing product life-cycle management, including pricing, packaging, and merchandising strategies. The position requires collaboration across various departments to ensure successful product launches and ongoing business performance.

Responsibilities

  • Manage Customer Brands P&L (Private Label and Economy product lines).
  • Identify and implement growth initiatives and manage product forecasting.
  • Manage customer contracts and product life-cycle including SKU rationalization, new product business case development, and commercial strategy and implementation.
  • Recommend product and channel pricing strategy, develop and maintain pricing and promotion parameters, and implement cost reduction opportunities.
  • Responsible for recommendations relating to promotion development and forecasting, competitive analysis, trade, and customer communications.
  • Provide strategic and tactical coordination across sales, finance, supply chain, product development, procurement, graphics, and legal.
  • Prepare and deliver ongoing business updates and reports, including monthly and quarterly business reviews, reporting to senior marketing and leadership.
  • Exercise discretion regarding strategic recommendations, data and sources, analytic conclusions, and financial recommendations.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Marketing or related field.
  • 3+ years of demonstrated relevant skills and results in consumer packaged goods marketing or closely related field.
  • Expertise in syndicated databases, business and brand planning, finance, promotional activities, and market research.
  • Strong project leadership experience with ability to manage multiple projects and cross-functional teams.
  • Sound understanding of concepts, principles and practices in Marketing and a basic knowledge in other areas including Sales, Finance and Supply Chain.
  • In-depth understanding of how own area integrates with other Marketing areas and with other functional areas such as Sales.
  • Deep understanding of the industry sector and competitive landscape.
  • Developed communication and diplomacy skills required to guide, influence, and convince others; often customer-facing; interactions with senior leadership.
  • Strong leadership, strategic thinking, communication, and teamwork skills.
