About the position

In this Product Management role at FIS, you will be at the forefront of innovation in the fintech landscape, leveraging our significant investment in research and development to build and roll out new products. Your primary responsibility will be to manage the life-cycle planning activities for the delivery of these new products, ensuring that they align with the rapidly changing market and business priorities. You will be tasked with preparing business cases for new product ideas, which will require a deep understanding of market demand and financial viability. This role demands a client-first approach to product design and development, ensuring that the products not only meet market needs but also provide a seamless client experience. You will demonstrate leadership by establishing a clear product strategy and articulating a vision of success that aligns with the company's goals and objectives. This includes managing the product plan, reflecting changes in market dynamics, and preparing and presenting product roadmaps. You will also be responsible for monitoring the product's profit and loss statement, which may include accountability for the revenue and profitability of assigned products. Engaging with clients through feedback sessions and focus groups will be crucial, as will collaborating with marketing, operations, and other internal partners to ensure product launch readiness. Your role will also involve coordinating pilot activities, acting as the primary contact with clients, and determining success criteria for these initiatives. You will work closely with senior management to provide content for market messages and sales collateral, ensuring that all communications are clear and effective. Responsibilities

  • Prepare business cases for new product ideas that reflect evidence of market demand and financial viability.
  • Prepare and present product plans, identifying risks and challenges, opportunities and growth strategies, and business integration needs.
  • Demonstrate leadership by establishing and articulating a clear product strategy and a clear vision of success as to how goals and objectives will be achieved.
  • Manage the product plan by ensuring changes in market and business priorities are reflected, including integration needs and technology advancements.
  • Prepare and present product roadmaps.
  • Manage project inventory during budget planning process; interlock on companion activity and prioritize as necessary to execute against plan throughout the year.
  • Monitor and understand product's profit and loss statement. May be responsible for revenue and profitability of assigned products.
  • Engage with clients during feedback sessions, focus groups, user groups and requirements gathering sessions.
  • Collaborate with marketing, operations, and other internal partners to define the end-to-end client experience and ensure product launch readiness criteria are met in alignment with Ethos standards.
  • Coordinate pilot activities acting as primary contact with client, securing pilot agreement and monitoring progress. Determine success criteria.
  • Collaborate with senior management to provide content for market messages, sales collateral and as needed RFPs (request for proposal).
  • Interact with key suppliers and partners.

Requirements

  • 7+ years of product management experience.
  • Ability to navigate the product lifecycle from business case to requirements definition to execution and go-to-market.
  • Background in data, financial services, and/or fintech preferred.
  • Strong understanding of product management principles and the ability to communicate effectively.
  • Client-first approach to product design and development.
  • Pragmatic Marketing and agile product management experience preferred.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, adept at communicating ideas to all levels of management.
  • Problem-solver with a positive attitude.
