About the position

The Product Manager II for Google Distributed Cloud will play a crucial role in guiding products from conception to launch, focusing on the development and implementation of tools and processes that enhance the efficiency and scalability of GDC hardware deployment. This position requires collaboration with cross-functional teams to ensure that the products meet the evolving needs of customers while maintaining high-quality standards.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee the development and life-cycle of software tools designed to streamline and automate supply chain operations.
  • Create and implement new business strategies that enhance the efficiency and scalability of Google Distributed Cloud (GDC) hardware deployment.
  • Establish clear, standardized procedures for various aspects of the GDC hardware supply chain, ensuring consistency, efficiency, and quality control.
  • Develop plans to extend the reach of GDC hardware offerings into new markets or customer segments.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 5 years of experience in product management or related technical role.
  • 2 years of experience taking technical products from conception to launch.
  • Experience in Data Centers and cloud infrastructure.
  • Experience in supply chain or ERP.

Nice-to-haves

  • Master's degree in a technology or business related field.
  • 3 years of experience in a business function or role (e.g., strategic marketing, business operations, consulting).
  • 3 years of experience in a role preparing and delivering technical presentations to senior leadership.
  • 2 years of experience in software development or engineering.
  • 2 years of experience working cross-functionally with engineering, UX/UI, sales finance, and other stakeholders.
  • 1 year of experience in technical leadership.
