About the position

The Product Manager for Engineered Drives will be responsible for driving profitable growth through ownership of the product and marketing roadmap. This role involves leading new business development initiatives, managing the product life cycle, and implementing marketing strategies to maximize growth and profitability. The ideal candidate will collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance product offerings and ensure successful market launches.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct strategic market, customer, and competitive analysis to support the development of the strategic plan and annual operating plan (AOP).
  • Develop multigenerational product line roadmaps and secure cross-functional leadership consensus on prioritization of initiatives.
  • Lead voice of the customer (VOC) research to inform product strategies and identify new opportunities.
  • Drive portfolio simplification and complexity reduction for margin expansion using core 80/20 principles.
  • Manage new product introductions from concept development to commercialization, ensuring alignment with market requirements.
  • Lead marketing efforts to develop training materials and support commercial launches.
  • Champion cross-functional activities to maximize product line performance, including revenue growth and margin improvement.
  • Monitor competitive products and develop proactive strategies to strengthen the product line's competitive edge.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, operations, business/marketing, or an MBA is strongly preferred.
  • Minimum 6 years of experience in Product Management, Marketing, Strategy, Operations, Engineering, or Business Development.
  • Experience in the gearing industry or related fields such as mining, grain, cement, metals, or fertilizer is preferred.
  • Strong financial and business acumen with experience in complexity reduction and simplification.
  • Demonstrated strategic decision-making skills regarding pricing and inventory management.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills to influence at all organizational levels.
  • Excellent presentation, verbal, and written communication skills.
  • Proven ability to analyze data and conduct complex financial analyses.

Nice-to-haves

  • Knowledge of SAP is a plus.
