About the position

At The Standard, the IT Strategy and Portfolio (S&P) Product Manager plays a crucial role in developing and optimizing IT S&P services and technology platforms for internal customers. This position is centered around leveraging knowledge of product platforms such as Apptio Targetprocess, Atlassian Jira, and MS Project to make informed decisions that align with business objectives, stakeholder input, and market analysis. The successful candidate will collaborate with senior leadership to define and execute the IT S&P strategy and roadmap, ensuring that both business and technology platforms are aligned with the overall goals of the organization. This involves identifying potential risks and developing mitigation strategies to ensure successful execution of the strategy. In addition to strategic planning, the Product Manager will engage with various stakeholders, including IT teams, business units, finance, and external partners, to gather requirements and ensure the adoption of IT services. Effective communication of IT portfolio performance and value to stakeholders is essential. The role also encompasses product development, where the manager will lead the prioritization, development, and enhancement of IT S&P services and platforms to meet business demands and drive value. Another key responsibility is driving the adoption of technology platforms and tools, which includes providing training and support for end-users to ensure successful implementation and utilization. The Product Manager will establish key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics to monitor the success of IT S&P services and technology platforms, continuously identifying and implementing improvements to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with senior leadership to define and execute the IT S&P strategy and roadmap.
  • Identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies for successful strategy execution.
  • Work closely with IT teams, business units, finance, and external partners to gather requirements and ensure adoption.
  • Communicate IT portfolio performance and value to stakeholders effectively.
  • Lead the prioritization, development, and enhancement of IT S&P services and platforms.
  • Drive the adoption of technology platforms and tools, providing training and support for end-users.
  • Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics to monitor the success of IT S&P services and technology platforms.
  • Identify and implement improvements to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of IT S&P frameworks.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • 6-8 years of progressive experience in product management delivering digital solutions.
  • Ability to work in an Agile environment.
  • Experience writing product specifications, user stories, and product requirement documents.
  • Proven success leading program-level business and technology delivery efforts.
  • Ability to lead multiple complex, cross-functional initiatives simultaneously.
  • Strong strategic thinking skills.
