About the position
The Product Manager will be responsible for developing and maintaining a strategic 3-year plan to support product and category growth within the Korean food industry. This role involves managing product performance, leading new product development, and executing marketing strategies to enhance brand presence and profitability.
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain a strategic 3-year plan for product/category growth and profitability.
- Monitor and analyze sales volumes, market share trends, and competitive activities.
- Set and manage P&L targets by categories and channels.
- Lead the new product development process from conception through execution.
- Collaborate with cross-functional departments to support product development and strategy.
- Conduct product-specific analyses and recommend new products and features.
- Manage product lifecycle, including improvements and SKU rationalization.
- Develop new product marketing plans and strategies for consumer communication.
- Execute marketing projects including packaging, advertising, and digital marketing.
- Assist in managing external vendors and partners for marketing initiatives.
- Determine consumer research needs and conduct marketing research.
- Develop marketing/sales collaterals such as sell sheets and brochures.
- Develop annual marketing budget and ensure activities are within budget.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, Advertising, or Business Administration; MBA is a plus.
- 8+ years of relevant work experience in brand or product innovation marketing, preferably in the food industry.
- 8+ years of B2C or B2B experience with basic P&L knowledge.
- Strong proficiency in MS Office, particularly Excel and PowerPoint.
- Experience with IRI, Nielsen, and Spins.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to meet deadlines and accomplish tasks in a timely manner.
- Ability to travel as needed.
- Bilingual in Korean preferred.
