About the position

At SpotOn, we're helping restaurants and small businesses compete and win with flexible payment and software technology-backed by real people who really care. From seamless point-of-sale systems to integrated restaurant management solutions, every SpotOn tool is designed to help local businesses increase profits and create better experiences for their customers and employees. We're looking for an experienced Product Manager who is passionate about bars & restaurants, building innovative products, and impacting the 15 million people who live and work in the restaurant space. This Product Manager will work closely with our C-Suite to create strategy, define roadmaps, and work with Engineering, Design, Marketing, Data Science, and GTM teams to build "a business within a business."

Responsibilities

  • Define the product strategy for SpotOn restaurant software suite
  • Manage the product roadmap, making strategic adjustments based on client needs, data, and business priority
  • Innovate in product vision and design
  • Work with cross-functional teams to prioritize requests for new functionality
  • Assess market competition, client preferences, and industry trends
  • Continuously test and leverage insights to inform decisions
  • Build relationships with key business partners and stakeholders
  • Collaborate with product marketing on product positioning

Requirements

  • 4+ years of relevant product management experience or equivalent, preferably with restaurant or hospitality software
  • Strong understanding of the product development lifecycle
  • Experience designing and delivering quality products
  • Metrics-driven work style that leverages data for decision making
  • Ability to manage multiple projects in an iterative process
  • Strong communication and presentation skills
  • Ability to understand customer needs and interactions with products
  • Ability to make decisions with imperfect information and manage ambiguity
  • Past restaurant experience, especially working in a restaurant or bar, is a serious plus

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in the restaurant or hospitality industry
  • Familiarity with product marketing strategies
