About the position

The Product Manager is responsible for overseeing the business activities of assigned brands, managing the budget and P&L to align with company objectives. This role involves developing and executing strategies for innovation, new products, and sales promotions to achieve corporate profit and market share goals.

Responsibilities

  • P&L ownership for assigned Brands/Categories, including submitting business plans that define success.
  • Monitor performance measurements to ensure sales volume, share, and profit objectives are met, recommending corrective actions as necessary.
  • Develop and execute business plans to meet category financial and share objectives.
  • Create share growth strategies and tactics for assigned Brands/Categories.
  • Collaborate with internal pricing partners to develop and execute strategic pricing initiatives.
  • Manage budget and MAP spending for assigned product responsibilities.
  • Participate in monthly volume forecasts for assigned categories, coordinating between demand and supply planning.
  • Analyze data to identify insights and translate them into actionable business initiatives.
  • Identify growth opportunities using consumption data, market research, and competitive intelligence.
  • Develop meaningful consumer positioning for all assigned product lines and communicate product advantages effectively.
  • Lead cross-functional team projects in support of category objectives.
  • Manage the process of identifying industry and consumer trends and conduct proprietary research projects.
  • Partner with innovation channels and customer business teams to develop and execute innovation plans.
  • Identify and develop sustaining innovation across assigned categories.
  • Implement product specification changes as needed.
  • Seek opportunities for personal development and add value to Business Unit teams.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree required; MBA preferred.
  • Minimum of 5-6 years of experience in consumer-packaged goods marketing.
  • Proven track record in managing and meeting volume and profit targets.
  • Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Ability to lead cross-functional teams effectively.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects in a dynamic environment.
