About the position

As a Product Manager for Mobile Applications at MICHELIN Connected Fleet, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of our driver-focused mobile applications on a global scale. This position is designed for a strategic and experienced individual who will lead the strategy, development, and management of applications that focus on driver coaching, job management, routing and navigation, and emergency road service. You will collaborate with various teams to create intuitive and reliable tools that meet the needs of drivers, enhance their safety on the road, and improve their operational efficiency. In this role, you will define a clear and compelling vision for mobile applications over the next 6 to 12 months, ensuring that the strategic priorities align with the overall product vision and business objectives. You will manage and communicate the product roadmap, adapting it based on evolving strategic priorities, driver feedback, and operational requirements. Conducting thorough research to understand driver needs, market trends, and competitor evolutions will be essential to your success. You will utilize analytics to monitor app performance, focusing on key metrics such as job management efficiency, navigation accuracy, and emergency service effectiveness. Your responsibilities will also include defining the problem space and requirements for new mobile app developments, leading the process with UX/UI and Architecture teams to create, test, and iterate intuitive designs for new driver experiences. You will own the backlog for mobile app developments, ensuring that initiatives are properly prioritized in alignment with PI planning cycles. Participation in key agile delivery ceremonies will be crucial, as you will accept the completion of new developments and gather customer feedback to inform future iterations. Additionally, you will contribute to the development of common practices and standards of excellence across the Product Management team, providing constructive feedback to peers and supporting the hiring and onboarding processes for new Product Managers and Product Owners. Your role will be instrumental in ensuring that our mobile applications not only meet but exceed the expectations of our users, driving growth and innovation within the company.

Responsibilities

  • Define a clear & compelling vision for mobile apps (6-12m), focusing on driver coaching, job management, routing & navigation, and emergency road service.
  • Prioritize specific strategic priorities and objectives for mobile apps aligned to product vision and business priorities.
  • Manage & communicate the product roadmap for mobile apps based on evolving strategic priorities, driver feedback, and operational requirements.
  • Conduct research to understand driver needs, jobs to be done, pains, and gains.
  • Understand and monitor market trends and competitor evolutions related to mobile driver experience & functionality.
  • Use analytics to monitor app performance, focusing on job management efficiency, navigation accuracy, and emergency service effectiveness.
  • Define the problem space & requirements for new mobile app developments, and lead process with UX / UI and Architecture teams to create, test, and iterate intuitive designs for new driver experiences.
  • Define well-formed development initiatives, with clear purpose, functional requirements, and plan ready for development by the mobile development team.
  • Own backlog for mobile app developments ensuring initiatives are properly prioritized aligned with PI planning cycles.
  • Participate in key agile delivery ceremonies to accept completion of new developments and knowledge & customer feedback with the delivery team to inform future iterations.
  • Understand and contribute to go-to-market strategy for new mobile app functionality & releases in partnership with go-to-market (G2M) teams.
  • Contribute to the development of common practices and standards of excellence across our Product Management team / chapter, and proactively encourages other PMs to align with these standards.
  • Regularly & proactively provides constructive feedback to Product and non-Product peers on their work & ways of working to improve individual and team performance; provides regular feedback and coaching to PO(s), PM(s), and other colleagues outside the Product team.
  • Support hiring and onboarding processes to ensure successful selection and ramp-up of new PMs and/or POs in our Product team; contribute to definition & structuring of hiring & onboarding processes.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
  • 5+ years direct involvement with information technology / SaaS applications, including at least 2+ years of performing strongly at PM-level focused on mobile applications.
  • Proven experience in developing and managing mobile apps.
  • Foundational understanding of UX / UI design heuristics and design processes.
  • Strong understanding of iOS and Android platforms.
  • Experience with Fleet management services: job management, routing, or emergency service applications a plus.
  • Advanced understanding of UX / UI design heuristics and design processes.
  • Advanced understanding of technology applications & architecture and solutioning processes.
  • Foundational understanding of go-to-market methodologies, including pricing techniques.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Familiarity with Agile methodologies and product management tools.
  • Strong ability to collaborate, communicate, present, and negotiate effectively across disciplines, vendors, partners and customers.
  • Sound judgement and decision-making skills, with the ability to juggle multiple competing priorities and work under deadline pressure.
  • High quality standards for work output with excellent attention to detail.
  • Native or fluent English speaker, other any languages are an assets with particular focus on French and/or Brazilian Portuguese.
