About the position

The Product Manager - Modular Construction at STERIS is responsible for overseeing the mobile solutions business unit, which includes managing product development, market development, and operational oversight of mobile sterile processing departments and related services. This role requires significant interaction with internal and external stakeholders and involves solving complex business challenges while ensuring customer satisfaction. The position demands a high level of travel, up to 70% nationwide, to support various operational needs.

Responsibilities

  • Provide day-to-day operational oversight of the product line.
  • Manage business operations including lease orders, shipping of consumables, and support for field technicians.
  • Maintain pipeline reports on fleet activity and availability.
  • Develop and strengthen partnerships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Perform product demonstrations to customers.
  • Create and manage capital requests for new product builds.
  • Assist in developing core positioning and messaging for the product line.
  • Manage serial number creation and movement with fleet.
  • Maintain fleet schedules and manage new build capital equipment order process.
  • Hold weekly calls with suppliers to manage fleet and new build processes.
  • Manage unit drawing packages and site preparation guides.
  • Utilize lean principles to lead strategic initiatives and user training.
  • Manage customer purchase orders and upload legal agreements in Oracle.
  • Attend industry trade shows and assess partnerships and licensing opportunities.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree required.
  • Minimum 7-10 years general business experience with 6-8 years in construction development/operations.
  • 3-5 years of experience with STERIS systems and processes preferred.
  • Demonstrated problem-solving, negotiation, analytical, and project management skills.
  • High degree of technical aptitude with significant multi-tasking capability.
  • Demonstrated leadership qualities and interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent oral, written, and presentation communication skills.
  • Competency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and online presentation tools.

Nice-to-haves

  • Ability to assist in the design of the Mobile Solutions product strategy and roadmap.
  • Understanding of the medical industry, hospital operations, and perioperative process flow.
  • Ability to read and interpret architectural plans in AutoCAD or BIM format.
  • Demonstrated comfort with ambiguity and ability to anticipate implications of situations.
