About the position

The Product Manager, Onivyde is a pivotal role within the Oncology Commercial Team at Ipsen Biopharmaceuticals, Inc. This position reports directly to the Senior Director of Onivyde Marketing and is responsible for the creation and development of effective marketing operations. The Product Manager will oversee the execution of assigned initiatives, ensuring that they are delivered flawlessly and align with the overall brand strategy. This role requires a strong focus on project management, as the individual will lead the implementation of various marketing initiatives, including the optimization of campaign materials, congress management, and internal communications across multiple channels. In this role, the Product Manager will collaborate closely with vendors to conceptualize, develop, and execute promotional materials and programs. They will be tasked with identifying innovative and compliant mechanisms to engage key customers, thereby differentiating Ipsen based on its strengths. Creativity and out-of-the-box thinking are essential to enhance the customer experience and ensure that marketing spend is efficient and on target. The Product Manager will also support the team in tracking market performance, trends, and developments, which will influence business strategy and help identify future risks and opportunities. Cross-functional collaboration is a key aspect of this role, as the Product Manager will work with various teams, including Oncology field leadership, the Training team, and the Sales teams, to support sales force execution and other business needs. They will also collaborate with the Business Insights and Data teams to develop research plans that ensure a comprehensive understanding of the brand strategy. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in marketing within the pharma/biotech industry, particularly in oncology, and will have the ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

  • Support the Onivyde oncology marketing team in the creation of brand strategy and tactics.
  • Lead the implementation of assigned initiatives across a broad spectrum of the marketing mix.
  • Work closely with vendors to conceptualize, develop, and execute promotional materials and programs.
  • Identify innovative and compliant mechanisms to engage key customers and differentiate Ipsen.
  • Apply creativity and innovation to enhance the customer experience.
  • Ensure that the brand marketing spend on assigned projects is on target and spent efficiently.
  • Support team in tracking and articulating market performance, trends, and developments.
  • Optimize the layout and format of presentations for key internal stakeholders.

Requirements

  • BA/BS in life sciences or business required; MBA, PharmD or other advanced degree is a plus.
  • Demonstrated marketing or related experience within pharma/biotech, ideally oncology.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills to interface with both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Ability to work with multiple internal cross-functional teams and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Experience managing agencies, consulting firms, and/or other vendors.
  • Knowledge of AMA, ACCME, PhRMA, and FDA regulations associated with promotion and industry-supported scientific education activities.
  • Demonstrated consistent track record of success in project management and producing results.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in oncology marketing is preferred.
  • Familiarity with advanced analytics and market research methodologies.
