About the position

The Product Manager - Payments at OneMain is responsible for enhancing the financial well-being of customers through innovative digital solutions. This role involves leading a product team to develop and implement features that improve customer experiences while meeting business objectives. The position requires a blend of analytical skills, empathy, and a proactive approach to problem-solving, ensuring that the product aligns with customer needs and company goals.

Responsibilities

  • Review customer feedback and user data to form hypotheses.
  • Run discovery sessions and ideate solutions with cross-functional partners.
  • Create wireframes and write user stories with design and engineering teams.
  • Document detailed product requirements for new customer experiences.
  • Prioritize tasks and clear blockers in daily stand-ups with the engineering and design team.
  • Refine strategy and roadmap for the product domain in Asana.
  • Lead live demos of designs for critical customer journeys and collect feedback.
  • Analyze data and operational performance to identify growth opportunities.
  • Groom open stories with the development team and refine acceptance criteria.
  • Conduct mobile UAT cases and document outcomes.

Requirements

  • At least 6 years of experience working on successful digital consumer products, preferably in a fast-paced startup environment.
  • Strong customer obsession and a drive to deliver constant value.
  • Ability to solve complex problems and carry solutions through to completion.
  • Experience in the digital product development process, including road mapping and testing.
  • Strong sense of ownership and accountability for product domain.
  • Experience in consumer (B2C) payments in a financial setting.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with agile methodologies.
  • Familiarity with tools like JIRA, Miro, and Asana.
  • Background in financial technology or fintech.
