About the position

The Product Manager for Product and Channel Marketing at OptiFreight® Logistics plays a crucial role in downstream marketing, which is responsible for assessing customer needs, market conditions, and competition to inform business strategy and execute marketing initiatives aligned with business goals. This position encompasses both channel marketing and product marketing responsibilities, focusing on the execution of essential marketing initiatives such as tradeshow strategy, channel and message development, and product marketing deliverables. The role is pivotal in driving product penetration across relevant channels and markets, which includes lifecycle management, market research, product commercialization, pricing, positioning, promotion, and branding to enhance customer loyalty and business growth. In this hybrid marketing role, the Product Manager will coordinate cross-functionally to share insights and gain alignment on marketing strategies, manage relationships with internal and external partners, and report on the performance of marketing campaigns and initiatives. The responsibilities include collaborating with stakeholders to develop and document goals and key performance indicators for each product or service in the portfolio, executing marketing strategies against established goals, and managing content to support channel and product strategies. The role also involves monitoring key performance indicators throughout campaigns, making necessary adjustments to strategies, and owning elements of product launches, including sales enablement and external market promotions. The Product Manager will perform analyses of data from marketing campaigns and market intelligence, report on campaign performance, and host sales training and discovery calls. Additionally, the role requires analyzing market research, trends, and innovations to formulate concepts for new marketing campaigns and approaches, as well as developing an understanding of the competitive landscape to promote OptiFreight® Logistics' products and services effectively. This position is essential for fulfilling the financial and operational needs of orders while ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and internal policies.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with stakeholders from various functions to develop and document goals and key performance indicators for each product and/or service in the portfolio.
  • Execute marketing strategies against established goals for return on investment and product health metrics.
  • Manage and develop content to support channel and product strategy, ensuring quality and alignment with marketing objectives.
  • Monitor key performance indicators throughout campaigns and product life cycle, making adjustments to strategy and customer targeting as necessary.
  • Own elements and broader support for related product launches, including sales enablement, training, and external market promotions.
  • Support ongoing sales enablement trainings to ensure all critical teams have necessary information to efficiently commercialize and grow the product.
  • Perform analyses of data from marketing campaigns and coordinate with business intelligence teams to track performance.
  • Report on the performance of marketing campaigns during regular meetings with senior management.
  • Host broader sales training and discovery calls, managing ongoing meetings with internal stakeholders.
  • Summarize and communicate key performance indicators, providing insights on performance.
  • Analyze market research, trends, and innovations to formulate concepts for new marketing campaigns.
  • Develop understanding of competitive landscape and participate in industry conferences to promote products and services.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree; advanced degree preferred.
  • 4-8 years' experience in related field preferred.
  • Familiarity with logistics, especially in healthcare, and knowledge of pharmacy operations and requirements for shipping and logistics.
  • Experience in channel development and marketing.
  • Experience supporting new product launches through commercialization and sales team enablement.
  • Ability to work independently, using good judgment and leadership abilities to manage priorities and projects.
  • Strong financial acumen and logical decision-making skills in a business environment.
  • Understanding of pricing, deal structure, and financial implications.
  • Basic knowledge of marketing disciplines and concepts necessary for building a business and marketing plan.
  • Ability to understand market trends and competitive positioning to adjust product offerings.
  • Proficient in mining research/data and interpreting findings to solve problems and tell a story.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Positive attitude with a focus on creative solutions and strong internal partnerships.
  • Ability to travel up to 10%.
