About the position

The Product Manager for Product and Channel Marketing at OptiFreight Logistics, a division of Cardinal Health, plays a crucial role in downstream marketing by assessing customer needs, market conditions, and competition to inform business strategy and execute marketing initiatives that align with business goals. This position is responsible for defining the market and driving channel strategy to enhance product penetration across relevant channels and markets. The responsibilities encompass various aspects of marketing, including life cycle management, market research, product or service commercialization, pricing, positioning, promotion, branding, and more, all aimed at driving customer loyalty, business growth, and profitability. In this hybrid marketing role, the Product Manager will be accountable for executing essential channel marketing initiatives, such as tradeshow strategy and execution, as well as product marketing deliverables, including sales enablement through customer and market discovery, pipeline development and management, product positioning, and KPI tracking. The role requires coordination across functions to share insights and gain alignment on strategic paths, managing relationships with both internal and external partners, and reporting on the performance of marketing campaigns and initiatives. The successful candidate will collaborate with stakeholders from various functions to develop and document goals and key performance indicators for each product and/or service in the portfolio. They will execute marketing strategies against established goals for return on investment and product health metrics. Additionally, the Product Manager will manage and develop content to support channel and product strategies, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and internal policies. Monitoring key performance indicators throughout campaigns and product life cycles is essential, as is making necessary adjustments to strategy and customer targeting. The role also involves owning elements of product launches, supporting sales enablement training, performing analyses of marketing campaign data, and summarizing key performance indicators for regular reporting to senior management.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with stakeholders from various functions to develop and document goals and key performance indicators for each product and/or service in the portfolio.
  • Execute marketing strategies against established goals for return on investment and product health metrics.
  • Manage and develop content to support channel and product strategy, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and internal policies.
  • Monitor key performance indicators throughout campaigns and product life cycle, making adjustments to strategy and customer targeting as necessary.
  • Own elements and broader support for related product launches, including sales enablement, training, external positioning, and marketing mix strategy development.
  • Support ongoing and measurable sales enablement trainings to ensure all critical teams have necessary information to efficiently commercialize and grow the product.
  • Perform analyses of data from marketing campaigns, pipeline, or market intelligence, coordinating with business intelligence teams or external vendors as necessary.
  • Report on the performance of marketing campaigns during regular meetings with senior management.
  • Host broader sales training and discovery calls, managing ongoing meetings with internal stakeholders.
  • Summarize and clearly communicate key performance indicators and provide insights on performance trends.
  • Analyze market research, trends, projections, and innovations to formulate concepts for new marketing campaigns and approaches for products and services.
  • Develop an understanding of the competitive landscape and participate in industry conferences to promote OptiFreight Logistics' products and services.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree; advanced degree preferred.
  • 4-8 years' experience in a related field preferred.
  • Familiarity with logistics, especially in healthcare, and working knowledge of pharmacy operations, needs, and requirements for shipping and logistics.
  • Experience in channel development and marketing.
  • Experience supporting new product launches through commercialization and sales team enablement.
  • Ability to work independently, using good judgment and leadership abilities to manage short and long-term priorities and projects.
  • Demonstrates strong financial acumen and logical decision-making in a general business environment.
  • Understanding of pricing, deal structure, and assessing financial implications.
  • Basic knowledge of marketing disciplines and concepts necessary for building a business and marketing plan, including identifying appropriate channels to market.
  • Ability to understand market trends and competitive positioning and adjust product offerings accordingly.
  • Proficient in mining research/data and interpreting findings to solve problems and tell a story.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Maintains a positive attitude with a focus on creative solutions and strong internal partnerships.
  • Ability to travel up to 10%.
