About the position

The Product Manager for Product and Channel Marketing at OptiFreight Logistics plays a crucial role in the downstream marketing efforts of Cardinal Health. This position is responsible for assessing customer needs, market conditions, and competition to inform business strategy and execute marketing initiatives that align with business goals. The focus is on defining the market and driving channel strategy to enhance product penetration across relevant channels and markets. Responsibilities include managing the product life cycle, conducting market research, and overseeing product or service commercialization, pricing, positioning, promotion, and branding to foster customer loyalty and business growth. In this hybrid marketing role, the Product Manager will be accountable for executing essential channel marketing initiatives, such as tradeshow strategy and execution, as well as product marketing deliverables. This includes sales enablement through customer and market discovery, pipeline development and management, product positioning, and tracking key performance indicators (KPIs). The role requires coordination across various functions to share insights and align on strategies, managing relationships with both internal and external partners, and reporting on the performance of marketing campaigns and initiatives. The Product Manager will collaborate with stakeholders to develop and document goals and KPIs for each product and service in the portfolio, execute marketing strategies to achieve established goals, and manage content development to support channel and product strategies. The position also involves monitoring KPIs throughout campaigns and the product life cycle, making necessary adjustments to strategies and customer targeting, and owning elements of product launches, including sales training and external market promotions. Additionally, the role requires performing analyses of data from marketing campaigns and market intelligence, reporting on performance, and participating in industry conferences to promote OptiFreight Logistics' offerings.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with stakeholders to develop and document goals and key performance indicators for each product and/or service in the portfolio.
  • Execute marketing strategies against established goals for return on investment and product health metrics.
  • Manage and develop content to support channel and product strategy, ensuring compliance with regulations and internal policies.
  • Monitor key performance indicators throughout campaigns and product life cycle, making adjustments as necessary.
  • Own elements of product launches, including sales enablement, training, and external market promotions.
  • Support ongoing sales enablement trainings to ensure teams have necessary information for product commercialization.
  • Perform analyses of data from marketing campaigns and market intelligence, coordinating with business intelligence teams as necessary.
  • Report on the performance of marketing campaigns during regular meetings with senior management.
  • Host sales training and discovery calls, managing ongoing meetings with internal stakeholders.
  • Summarize and communicate key performance indicators, providing insights on performance trends.
  • Analyze market research and trends to formulate concepts for new marketing campaigns.
  • Develop understanding of competitive landscape and participate in industry events to promote products.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree; advanced degree preferred.
  • 4-8 years' experience in related field preferred.
  • Familiarity with logistics, especially in healthcare, and knowledge of pharmacy operations.
  • Experience in channel development and marketing.
  • Experience supporting new product launches through commercialization and sales team enablement.
  • Ability to work independently and manage short and long-term priorities.
  • Strong financial acumen and logical decision-making skills.
  • Basic knowledge of marketing disciplines and concepts for building business and marketing plans.
  • Ability to understand market trends and competitive positioning.
  • Proficient in data mining and interpreting findings to solve problems.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office, especially Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Positive attitude with a focus on creative solutions and strong internal partnerships.
