About the position

The Product Manager for the Provisioning Platform at Viasat will play a crucial role in shaping the direction and success of the Mobility Connectivity Platform. This position involves automating customer onboarding and enabling seamless provisioning of new features, ensuring that the product meets market needs and drives customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities

• Develop and iterate Product Requirements Documents (PRDs) based on market requirements.
• Own the product vision and communicate it throughout the organization, articulating the WHAT and WHY of product efforts.
• Advocate for funding and resources to realize product value through a solid business case.
• Gather and prioritize customer feedback to inform product development, collaborating with internal teams and users.
• Define internal or partner solutions and manage collaborations where applicable.
• Translate market requirements into actionable MRDs for the engineering team.
• Collaborate with various business segments on new product initiatives and feature releases.
• Utilize customer insights and data to develop product features and manage the product lifecycle.
• Act as the primary point of contact for product needs, roadmap, and communication across stakeholders.
• Engage with solution partners and ecosystem players on technical and commercial aspects.
• Use metrics to understand product market fit and educate business sponsors.
• Facilitate build vs buy analysis for technology selection in product development.
• Drive product success and continuous improvement with stakeholders.
• Present product portfolio evolution to senior executives periodically.

Requirements

• 3+ years of product management experience or similar functions.
• Demonstrated experience working with global teams and strong collaboration skills.
• Strategic mindset with excellent problem-solving abilities and a strong work ethic.
• Self-starter with experience in Scaled Agile Framework development teams.
• Experience influencing and leading cross-functional teams to deliver business justification for product capabilities.
• Ability to understand technical details and engage with engineering teams on tradeoffs and performance.
• Experience with customer-focused design thinking processes.
• Strong prioritization skills and consistent delivery of results.
• Passion for solving customer problems and defining compelling products.
• Experience managing executive sponsors.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience; MBA or master's degree is a plus.
• Experience in the Aviation and/or Maritime industry is a plus.
