The Product Manager, Pt and Physician Marketing at Boston Scientific is a pivotal role responsible for overseeing patient, physician, and provider marketing activities on a franchise level. In this role, the Product Manager will independently develop key global business planning activities that focus on market development. This includes working with the product manager and key stakeholders to identify new markets and franchise opportunities. The responsibilities extend to leading patient marketing, referral marketing, and provider marketing strategies, collaborating closely with digital marketing, public relations, professional education, and professional affairs. The role also involves developing and delivering materials to support deployable marketing initiatives at the local level, partnering with franchise management to execute market science programs, and formulating franchise market segmentation, product positioning, messaging, and concept-marketing techniques. Additionally, the Product Manager will contribute to setting market development and planning priorities, franchise global downstream marketing and sales, and suggest improvements to strategy and effectiveness. Understanding key industry dynamics and trends is crucial for formulating effective strategy and messaging techniques. Networking with colleagues across other franchises and cross-functional departments is essential to enhance franchise systems and processes, aiming for “best in class” business objectives. A primary commitment to patient safety and product quality is expected, along with compliance with all regulations governing quality systems.

Responsibilities

  • Independently develop key global business planning activities focused on market development.
  • Work with product manager and key stakeholders to identify new markets and new franchise opportunities.
  • Lead patient marketing, referral marketing, and provider marketing strategies, collaborating with digital marketing, public relations, professional education, and professional affairs.
  • Develop and deliver materials to the field to support deployable marketing initiatives at the local level.
  • Partner with franchise management to execute market science programs, formulate franchise market segmentation, product positioning, messaging, and concept-marketing techniques.
  • Contribute to setting market development and planning priorities.
  • Contribute to franchise global downstream marketing and sales and suggest means to improve strategy and effectiveness.
  • Understand key industry dynamics and trends and formulate strategy and concept messaging techniques.
  • Network with colleagues in other franchises and cross-functional departments to enhance franchise systems and processes.
  • Demonstrate a primary commitment to patient safety and product quality.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in marketing, engineering, or healthcare.
  • 5+ years prior upstream marketing, product management, product development, or strategic marketing experience.
  • Excellent communication skills (verbal and written).
  • Experience in creating compelling presentations and effectively communicating recommendations.
  • Demonstrated experience with product lifecycle management.
  • Experience conducting assessments of sophisticated markets.
  • Ability to influence leadership and key stakeholders through excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong analytical, quantitative, financial modeling, and strategic thinking skills.
  • Experience in KOL engagement and managing multiple physician collaborators.
