About the position

The Product Manager for Retention at Ring is responsible for developing and executing data-driven retention strategies to enhance customer engagement and subscription retention. This role serves as a liaison between various teams, including Product, Business Intelligence, Hardware, and Data Science, to drive initiatives that improve device health and user experience. The position requires a strong focus on audience-specific messaging and communication strategies across multiple channels.

Responsibilities

• Manage audience-specific messaging and communication strategies across email, push notifications, in-app messaging, and SMS to drive device, subscription, and user retention.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with Product, Business Intelligence, Hardware, and Data Science teams to understand product usage, customer behaviors, and pain points impacting retention.
• Leverage data and customer insights to identify opportunities and propose communications that improve the Ring customer experience.
• Test, track and measure the impact of retention initiatives on key metrics like device health, subscription renewals, and user engagement.
• Communicate campaign performance and recommendations to leadership to inform future retention strategies.
• Stay up-to-date on industry trends and best practices in customer retention to continuously improve Ring's approach.

Requirements

• 5+ years of product or program management, product marketing, business development or technology experience.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent.
• Experience owning/driving roadmap strategy and definition.
• Experience with end to end product delivery.
• Experience with feature delivery and tradeoffs of a product.
• Experience as a product manager or owner.
• Experience owning technology products.
