About the position

The Product Manager for Retention at Ring will focus on developing and executing data-driven strategies to enhance customer retention through effective communication. This role serves as a bridge between various teams, including Product, Business Intelligence, Hardware, and Data Science, to improve device health, subscription retention, and user engagement.

Responsibilities

  • Manage audience-specific messaging and communication strategies across email, push notifications, in-app messaging, and SMS to drive device, subscription, and user retention.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Product, Business Intelligence, Hardware, and Data Science teams to understand product usage, customer behaviors, and pain points impacting retention.
  • Leverage data and customer insights to identify opportunities and act as the voice of the customer to propose communications that improve the Ring customer experience.
  • Test, track and measure the impact of retention initiatives on key metrics like device health, subscription renewals, and user engagement.
  • Communicate campaign performance and recommendations to leadership to inform future retention strategies.
  • Stay up-to-date on industry trends and best practices in customer retention to continuously improve Ring's approach.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of product or program management, product marketing, business development or technology experience
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent
  • Experience owning/driving roadmap strategy and definition
  • Experience with end to end product delivery
  • Experience with feature delivery and tradeoffs of a product
  • Experience as a product manager or owner
  • Experience owning technology products

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in influencing senior leadership through data driven insights
  • Experience working across functional teams and senior stakeholders
