About the position

The Senior Product Manager will develop and execute the product portfolio strategy for complex product categories across various regions. This role involves defining the vision, leading the development of a three-year product plan, managing product lifecycle, and ensuring profitability through strategic initiatives. The position requires collaboration across business functions to align product strategies with customer needs and market trends.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute product portfolio strategy for multiple product categories.
  • Define vision and lead the development of a rolling three-year product plan.
  • Manage product lifecycle, including new product introductions and cost/warranty reductions.
  • Create and communicate product line strategy and prioritize new product development initiatives.
  • Drive business cases for product development programs within the New Product Development (NPD) Process.
  • Oversee product configuration, spec change, and SKU count optimization processes.
  • Define product and technology roadmaps based on customer needs and market trends.
  • Partner with marketing to define Voice of Customer (VoC) and go-to-market strategy.
  • Develop capital budgets and drive resource planning based on product line priorities.
  • Maintain and report on product line metrics in alignment with the Product Management Review process.
  • Lead cost/warranty reduction and profit improvement efforts.
  • Collaborate with Operations and Supply Chain to improve product cost and quality.
  • Perform managerial responsibilities including hiring, coaching, and performance management.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business or related field, or equivalent education and experience.
  • Minimum seven years of experience in product management, new product development, manufacturing, marketing, or related field.
  • Three years of experience with global markets preferred.
  • Excellent interpersonal and presentation skills.
  • Ability to collaborate and influence within and outside the organization.
  • Superior management skills to direct and mentor teams.
  • Expert business acumen with understanding of financial principles.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in the outdoor power equipment industry.
  • Familiarity with lithium-ion battery and energy storage systems.
