About the position

The Product Manager for Special Programs Management at Frontline Education is responsible for leading the development and launch of innovative Medicaid Billing and Service Management products aimed at assisting K-12 administrators. This role involves managing the product roadmap, collaborating with various teams, and ensuring that the solutions meet customer needs while simplifying the daily operations of educational institutions.

Responsibilities

  • Own, create, refine, and prioritize business requirements in the software product backlog.
  • Collaborate with multiple scrum teams to estimate, groom, and plan for high-priority features.
  • Participate in backlog grooming and prioritization, as well as scrum ceremonies like stand-ups and retrospectives.
  • Conduct customer validation sessions to ensure features meet customer needs.
  • Provide support, decision-making, and validation during design and development phases.
  • Document requirements, project status, and release notes accurately.
  • Train and support internal stakeholders on existing and new features.
  • Work collaboratively with product teams to support product vision and strategy.
  • Communicate plans, status, and progress against KPIs to stakeholders.
  • Partner with the UX team to ensure effective problem-solving through research and validation.
  • Participate in customer-facing situations and user conferences as a product expert.
  • Lead new product launches from start to finish.
  • Ensure the voice of the customer is integrated into the product development process.
  • Develop and monitor KPIs to ensure strong client and business outcomes.
  • Align closely with Services counterparts on Medicaid billing services strategy.

Requirements

  • 3-5 years of experience in Product Management designing and delivering software products.
  • Proven expertise in leading cross-functional teams to launch products on-time and on-budget.
  • Experience with SaaS applications, preferably in Medicaid billing.
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • Experience with Agile development methodologies.
  • Experience with Medicaid billing and management of related services.
  • K-12 experience is highly regarded.
  • Experience with Medicaid billing in K-12 schools is highly preferred.
  • Understanding of special education is a bonus.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in a fast-paced, agile environment.
  • Strong project management skills with the ability to handle complex projects simultaneously.
  • Understanding of user experience (UX) principles.
