About the position

The Hoag Digital Health team is seeking a Senior Product Manager to take ownership of the strategy, vision, and execution of specific products within our digital portfolio. This role is pivotal in collaborating closely with UX/Design and Engineering teams, as well as partnering with adjacent teams across the organization to deliver innovative experiences and products that will shape the future of healthcare at Hoag. As a Senior Product Manager, you will be an integral part of a highly cross-functional team that includes world-class medical professionals, designers, and engineers, all working together to address the challenges within the healthcare space. In this role, you will be responsible for translating customer needs into product solutions from inception to completion. You will write detailed, well-organized requirements and user stories that will guide the design of product specifications. Your leadership will be crucial in delivering digitally forward healthcare products, as you will be expected to dive deep with technical teams and act as a thought leader in the space. A passion for mobile app experiences is essential, along with the ability to apply analytical rigor to the team’s efforts. You will develop detailed business requirements and user stories that will inform the product specifications and architecture for each product and application. Managing prioritization and trade-offs among customer experience, performance, and external factors will be a key part of your responsibilities. You will work closely with various teams to ensure successful product delivery to the market, facilitate meetings, and provide excellent written and verbal presentations. Additionally, you may be assigned other duties as needed.

Responsibilities

  • Own the strategy, vision, and execution of specific products within the digital portfolio.
  • Collaborate closely with UX/Design and Engineering teams to deliver innovative healthcare experiences.
  • Translate customer needs into product solutions from start to finish.
  • Write detailed, well-organized requirements and user stories for product specifications.
  • Deliver digitally forward healthcare products by being a thought leader and working with technical teams.
  • Develop detailed business requirements and user stories for product architecture.
  • Manage prioritization and trade-offs among customer experience, performance, and external factors.
  • Facilitate meetings and provide excellent written and verbal presentations.
  • Work closely with teams to deliver products to market.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience required.
  • Nine (9) plus years of product management experience within leading consumer products and/or Health-Tech organizations required.
  • Experience delivering enterprise-level employee and consumer-facing mobile and web applications, with familiarity in user experience and interactive design best practices required.
  • Experience planning, managing, and leading complex technology projects in a fast-paced environment required.
  • Experience planning and leading software release cycles, including prioritizing features and coordinating schedules across platforms required.
  • Demonstrated ability to work with stakeholders to clarify business problems and identify process/user experience improvement opportunities required.
  • Proven ability to write detailed business requirements intended for software engineering and UI/UX design required.
  • Ability to collaborate with software engineering teams to reduce technical debt and migrate to new architectures required.
  • Excellent meeting facilitation, written, verbal, and presentation skills required.
  • Experience using Agile development methodologies and familiarity with JIRA/Confluence preferred.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience writing Acceptance Criteria is a plus.
