About the position

The Product Manager Expert at Allstate is responsible for defining, delivering, and managing the lifecycle of products within the company's expanding digital product portfolio. This role involves strategic product vision, product discovery, and managing roadmaps and backlogs to maximize customer and enterprise value. The Product Manager Expert collaborates closely with stakeholders to ensure effective go-to-market strategies and product communications, while also validating product assumptions through discovery techniques.

Responsibilities

  • Contribute towards creating the product strategy for one or more products in the digital product portfolio.
  • Authors, tests, and accepts stories.
  • Use customer feedback, market analysis, and data gathering to inform product strategy decisions.
  • Define and manage metrics to measure success and inform overall product strategy.
  • Represent the voice of the customer by engaging with current and potential customers to understand their needs.
  • Facilitate discovery/test & learn activities to validate assumptions and product direction.
  • Decompose complex problems into manageable tasks and prioritize the product backlog.
  • Assist with managing the product backlog and provide timely feedback on development iterations.

Requirements

  • 4-year bachelor's degree (Preferred)
  • 6 or more years of experience (Preferred)
  • Solid understanding of and experience in a technology development environment.
  • Entrepreneurial mindset with a strong inclination towards action, preferably in application and platform modernization.
  • Advanced communication skills for conveying complex concepts to product development teams.
  • Experience in data-driven decision making and operating in KPI-driven environments.
  • Ability to anticipate problems and seek opportunities proactively.
  • Experience in fast-paced environments and iterative delivery.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in digital product management and strategy.
  • Familiarity with Agile methodology and backlog management.
  • Strong skills in data analytics and decision making.
