About the position

The Product Manager - Technical Services at Next Round is a pivotal role that focuses on transforming business vision into successful systems and software solutions. This position is designed for an individual who is passionate about technology and has a strong background in product management, particularly in the technical services domain. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing, launching, and supporting new solutions by eliciting and analyzing requirements, defining specifications, and coordinating with cross-functional teams, end users, and vendors. This role is 100% remote, allowing for flexibility while working with a dynamic team. In this role, the Product Manager will manage software development projects and interact with various stakeholders to ensure that the products meet business needs and technical requirements. The individual will define features and manage roadmaps in collaboration with non-technical business owners, ensuring that all parties are aligned on project goals and timelines. Gathering and documenting complex business requirements will be a key responsibility, as will identifying opportunities for automation to enhance efficiency and effectiveness. The Product Manager will oversee products from analysis through implementation and operations, coordinating cross-functional teams and managing steering committees to drive project success. Leading business design sessions and proposing design alternatives will be essential to ensure that the solutions developed are both innovative and practical. The individual will also be responsible for developing and implementing processes to streamline operations, creating process models and documentation to clarify requirements, and translating those requirements into user stories to manage product backlogs effectively. Additionally, the role involves defining test scenarios and facilitating user acceptance testing (UAT) to ensure that the final products meet the established criteria. The Product Manager will prepare detailed technical documentation and reports, participate in regional and international technical forums and meetings, and represent the company in discussions related to product development and technical services.

Responsibilities

Requirements

  • Minimum of 10 years of experience with a bachelor's degree or 8 years with a master's degree in Computer Science, Systems Engineering, Information Systems, or related field.
  • Proven experience in product management, requirement gathering, and writing user stories using Agile/Scrum methodology.
  • Experience in agile software development and software development processes.
  • Ability to manage cross-functional teams and develop custom solutions.
  • Skills in prioritization, project management, and conflict resolution.
  • Knowledge of programming languages (e.g., Python, Java).
  • Strong English writing skills, particularly for technical documents.
  • Effective meeting facilitation, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong interpersonal and presentation skills.
  • Desired experience in technical capacity with a Top-Level Domain (TLD) registry or domain name registrar.

Nice-to-haves

  • Knowledge of DNS, DNSSEC, EPP, WHOIS, RDAP.
  • Knowledge of Salesforce and Appian is a plus.
