About the position

The Product Manager for Technology will play a critical role in the Asset Transfer Team, focusing on enhancing processing efficiencies and improving the operational support experience for clients. This position involves collaborating with business and IT stakeholders to define requirements, prioritize initiatives, and ensure alignment between business strategies and technical solutions. The role requires a blend of business acumen and technical knowledge, particularly within the banking industry, to drive modernization and transformation of systems.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary contact between business and IT partners to ensure business requirements are documented and technical solutions meet business strategies.
  • Conduct requirement-elicitation meetings with users, developers, and vendors to understand stakeholder needs and business impact.
  • Partner with cross-functional teams to create process models, user stories, and use cases.
  • Understand business and technical dependencies between areas and systems supporting middle office functionality.
  • Perform planning and scoping for inter-related initiatives to assist senior stakeholders in decision-making.
  • Elicit, document, and manage business requirements effectively.
  • Facilitate issue resolution and retrospectives between stakeholders.
  • Develop expert knowledge of platform systems and define future system solutions.
  • Handle complex, high-profile projects across multiple domains and stakeholders.
  • Adapt to changing priorities and manage multiple tasks efficiently.
  • Support the business implementation process for new or enhanced system features.
  • Support biweekly production release activities.

Requirements

  • 3 to 5 years' experience managing requirements for large, complex, cross-functional projects, with an emphasis on systems and technologies.
  • 5 years' experience in software development methodology, preferably Agile Framework.
  • Proven ability to write business requirements, including user stories and use case development.
  • High attention to detail and ability to see projects through from concept to implementation.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze data and identify key insights.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, organizational, and negotiation skills.
  • Product and project management skills, including risk evaluation and resource balancing.
  • Strong client orientation and ability to apply knowledge to product enhancements and user experience.
  • Competence in Microsoft Office tools including Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Visio.
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent business experience.

Nice-to-haves

  • Securities Industry/Operational background, particularly in cash management solutions.
  • Prior working knowledge of JIRA or related Scrum tools.
