About the position

The Product Manager, Upstream Marketing at PDI is responsible for driving business growth within the Environment of Care (EoC) portfolio by introducing innovative product and service solutions. This role requires a deep understanding of the infection prevention market and PDI's product offerings, representing the voice of the customer throughout the product development process. The position involves cross-functional collaboration to execute a product portfolio strategy that addresses unmet customer needs with disruptive technologies.

Responsibilities

  • Build a comprehensive knowledge base of customer insights, competitor analysis, and market dynamics within the Environment of Care sector.
  • Support the development and execution of a product portfolio strategy, determining the right portfolio mix of products/solutions across core, adjacent, and transformational innovation opportunities.
  • Develop business cases for new product introduction based on market research and customer insights.
  • Represent marketing and the voice of the customer in the product development process, defining product requirements and collaborating with the product development team to drive products from project initiation to launch.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent required; MBA preferred.
  • Proven experience in product management and marketing in the healthcare industry, including regulatory requirements, industry trends, and customer needs.
  • Strong understanding of the end-to-end product development lifecycle, including requirements gathering, design, development, testing, and launch.
  • In-depth knowledge of market research methodologies, competitor analysis, and the ability to interpret and leverage data to drive strategic decisions.
  • 5 years or more of product management and marketing experience in healthcare; upstream marketing experience preferred.
