About the position

The Product Manager, Video Solutions will lead the development and management of the video product portfolio, focusing on video cameras and recording devices. This role involves defining features, selecting technologies, and enhancing user experience while collaborating with other product managers to ensure a cohesive product offering.

Responsibilities

  • Lead a no-direct report team of engineers through product development activities from inception to production.
  • Manage internal and external customer expectations and communications to grow the video solutions offering.
  • Effectively communicate with engineering, upper management, and external customers.
  • Develop a deep understanding of DMP products and identify product gaps while generating new ideas.
  • Conduct market research to analyze the industry and competitors.
  • Create buy-in for the product vision internally and with key external partners.
  • Prioritize activities based on business and customer impact.
  • Work closely with the Project Manager and cross-functional teams to deliver quality products and services.
  • Drive product launches and set and publish launch dates.
  • Evaluate promotional plans to ensure consistency with product line strategy.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of Product Management experience, preferably for hardware products.
  • Minimum B.S. or B.A. in Business, Marketing, Engineering or related field from a competitive school.
  • Previous experience managing video products with an understanding of product specifications and the video market landscape.
  • Track record of managing all aspects of a successful product throughout its lifecycle.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, for presentations to various audiences.
  • Experience communicating requirements to engineering teams and managing modifications during product development.
  • Self-starter with strong problem-solving skills and ability to meet deadlines.

Nice-to-haves

  • Current CPM (Certified Product Manager) through AIPMM or equivalent organization.
  • Experience working in Jira and Confluence.
  • MBA
