About the position

The WiFi Product Management team at Spectrum is responsible for ensuring seamless and secure public access to Spectrum WiFi access points. This role involves establishing business rules, managing authentication policies, and continuously improving WiFi quality across the nation. The ideal candidate will excel in a collaborative environment, leveraging data analysis to inform product requirements and enhancements, particularly in the wireless or mobile sectors.

Responsibilities

  • Support efforts to simplify and enhance the customer experience.
  • Understand industry best practices in product development specific to cable or telecommunications and translate them for the organization.
  • Gather information to translate high-level process goals into specific sub-processes with appropriate documentation.
  • Develop communication plans for stakeholders and process participants.
  • Support the development and communication of product strategies to drive financial results.
  • Collaborate with engineering, product management peers, marketing stakeholders, and key market areas on strategy implementation.
  • Lead product launches and enhancements across Charter's service and application portfolio, working cross-functionally with Engineering, Marketing, and Operations divisions.
  • Identify risks, dependencies, and next steps while ensuring effective communication with all stakeholders.
  • Act as a Product Owner for an agile development team, writing requirements and supporting development and testing teams throughout the lifecycle process.
  • Document business rules, process flows, and other team documentation.
  • Conduct market research and data analysis to aid in requirement gathering stages.
  • Assist in creating the product roadmap.
  • Identify areas of improvement using available data and propose solutions.
  • Present proposed solutions clearly for executive review and approval.

Requirements

  • 3-5+ years of experience in product development/management.
  • 3-5+ years of experience in cable/telecommunications/software/online services.
  • BA/BS technical degree related to telecommunications or operational/process optimization.
  • Proficient with Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Effective organizational and office management skills.
  • Strong cognitive and communication skills.
  • Effective analytical skills with a sense of urgency to achieve business results.
