About the position

The Salesforce.com Technical Product Owner is responsible for overseeing the product planning and execution throughout the product lifecycle. This role involves gathering and prioritizing product and customer requirements, defining the product vision, and collaborating closely with engineering and support teams to ensure customer satisfaction. The Product Owner plays a crucial role in aligning the product with the company's overall strategy and goals, while also focusing on user experience and data-driven decision-making.

Responsibilities

  • Define and prioritize the product roadmap while balancing budget, timelines, and other constraints.
  • Develop and communicate the product vision, strategy, and roadmap, ensuring alignment with the organization's product strategy and business objectives.
  • Clearly communicate strategy and key metrics in regular product sync-up meetings to business, peers, and other interlocked teams.
  • Gather valuable inputs, update plans accordingly, and communicate their impact to all relevant stakeholders.
  • Take initiative in gathering requirements and providing clear interpretations using user stories.
  • Write product requirements including use cases, user stories, and acceptance criteria.
  • Measure product performance and value delivered to clients, adjusting product roadmaps and plans as necessary.
  • Work effectively with cross-functional teams in a matrix organization.
  • Exhibit strong problem-solving skills and a willingness to roll up one's sleeves to get the job done.

Requirements

  • X+ years of progressive career in IT.
  • X+ years' experience as an Agile Product Owner, or equivalent experience as a Business Analyst or Product Owner for a SaaS product.
  • Experience with Salesforce is essential, with a preference for experience in Service Cloud.
  • Deep understanding of Salesforce's capabilities and features, keeping up to date on new releases.
  • Good product design and interaction design skills.
  • Ability to write a detailed Product Requirements Document.
  • Strong problem-solving skills to break down high-level requirements into actionable tasks.
  • Attention to user experience and details.
  • Good data analyzing skills and familiarity with data-driven product optimization.
  • Excellent communication skills to coordinate different teams to achieve goals.
  • Cross-cultural work experience is preferred.
  • At least one Salesforce certification is required.
