About the position

The position involves managing the annual facility booking forecast for specific product lines in collaboration with Sales and Operations. The role is focused on achieving budgeted booking and margin objectives while ensuring effective pricing strategies and market analysis. The individual will be responsible for developing long-term agreements (LTAs), maximizing facility margins, and coordinating customer interactions, all while maintaining comprehensive reporting and documentation.

Responsibilities

  • Develops the annual facility booking forecast in coordination with Sales and Operations.
  • Meets or exceeds budgeted facility booking, booking margin, and backlog margin objectives.
  • Coordinates the creation and maintenance of system price curves and discount structures.
  • Documents and communicates modifications made to pricing structure.
  • Determines applicable expedite charges for shipping products ahead of standard delivery schedules.
  • Reviews and determines applicable charges associated with product cancellations.
  • Maximizes facility margins while meeting market share objectives.
  • Ensures timely completion of daily quotes and LTAs.
  • Develops LTA strategies in conjunction with Sales and Operations.
  • Initiates the development of unsolicited LTAs to capture targeted business.
  • Captures, documents, and maintains all facility LTAs.
  • Uses the LTA database to proactively secure additional profitable business.
  • Captures and documents all LTA proposals and follows up on submitted proposals.
  • Has quote sign-off authority for spot buys and packages between $50,000 and $250,000.
  • Coordinates the sale of E & O and Dormant inventory.
  • Ensures all reports are run, evaluated, distributed, and acted upon to achieve booking and margin objectives.
  • Maintains current Product Strategy Road Maps and Growth Revenue Bridges, communicating updates to Operations.
  • Performs market analysis to aid in strategic decision-making.
  • Develops and implements product entrance, exit, and transfer strategies.
  • Conducts research to determine product market share.
  • Initiates the capture and documentation of competitive information for strategic decisions.
  • Creates a monthly report summarizing significant points of interest related to the product line and facility.
  • Coordinates customer facility visits with Sales and Operations.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree from an accredited Institution, preferably in Business, Economics, or Engineering.
  • 5 years of experience in Product Management, Business Development, or Engineering in the aerospace industry.
  • Strong interpersonal and leadership skills.
  • Ability to communicate persuasively and effectively present information.
  • Proficient in Excel (e.g., VBA/Macro) and PowerPoint.
  • Strong cost accounting understanding.

Nice-to-haves

  • MBA preferred.
  • Previous experience in manufacturing preferred.
  • Previous experience in the aerospace fasteners industry preferred.
