About the position

The Product Owner (PO) at Locumsmart is responsible for guiding the development of the core B2B platform, the Locumsmart Vendor Management System (VMS). This role involves translating strategic vision into actionable epics and user stories, advocating for customer needs, and collaborating closely with engineering teams to deliver effective solutions. The PO will engage with both internal and external stakeholders to ensure that product development aligns with business goals and customer expectations.

Responsibilities

• Learn and become a subject matter expert on the core product.
• Understand the goal and value of roadmap items to provide context for the agile team.
• Engage with internal and external customers to understand impacts and desired outcomes.
• Collaborate with the agile development team to ensure epics and user stories are well written and understood.

Requirements

• 3+ years experience with agile, kanban, or scrum methodologies.
• Experience implementing a web-based software as a service tool (B2B).
• Ability to interpret customer needs and translate them into user stories.
• Ability to proactively find areas for improvement and collaborate on solutions.
• Effectively communicate information to technical and non-technical audiences.
• Experience presenting ideas and information in a group setting.

Nice-to-haves

• Locums/healthcare industry background.
• Certified Scrum Product Owner (CSPO).
• Proficient in Jira.
• SQL experience.
• Experience supporting and implementing APIs.
