About the position

The Product Manager III position is a hybrid role based in Philadelphia, PA, focused on managing product requirements from concept to delivery within the telecommunications sector. The role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams to enhance customer experience and drive product strategy, particularly in commerce and billing. The Product Manager will work in an agile framework, acting as a Product Owner, and will be responsible for defining product features, managing backlogs, and ensuring alignment with stakeholder needs.

Responsibilities

  • Identify and create product requirements from initial concept through delivery.
  • Understand existing processes and their impact on end customers, creating new approaches as needed.
  • Work closely with large organizations and cross-functional teams to understand customer behavior and needs.
  • Act as Product Owner in an agile framework to deliver continuous digital enhancements.
  • Plan and manage sprint capacity with the engineering team for efficient delivery.
  • Write detailed user stories to capture product feature requirements and manage the backlog.
  • Collaborate with customer experience and content teams to design product features that reflect the original vision.
  • Ensure features are well planned and meet acceptance criteria by working with solution design, architects, and development teams.
  • Lead product and cross-functional working sessions as needed.
  • Develop detailed product features continuously and identify strategic opportunities for improvement.
  • Conduct best practice research, competitive analysis, and develop understanding of stakeholders to drive development decisions.
  • Partner with analytics and research personnel to assess performance and identify areas of opportunity.
  • Communicate feature status and performance metrics to stakeholders regularly.
  • Provide product support and develop training materials as needed.
  • Offer subject matter expertise to team members as required.

Requirements

  • 3-5 years of experience in the product space, specifically supporting commerce or billing.
  • Experience presenting to stakeholders using PowerPoint.
  • Ability to define and align on product strategy.
  • Strong understanding of customer behavior and needs.
  • Experience working in an agile framework as a Product Owner.
  • Ability to write detailed user stories and manage product backlogs.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with telecommunications products.
  • Familiarity with analytics and performance metrics.
