About the position

The Product Manager is responsible for product planning, innovation, execution of new product introductions, product refinement, and lifecycle management for the HVAC Tools category. This role involves gathering and prioritizing product and customer requirements, defining product vision, and collaborating with Sales and Engineering to meet revenue and profitability goals. The Product Manager will also work closely with overseas OEM suppliers to manage product development from concept to production, ensuring alignment with the company's business objectives and exploring new product categories or technologies.

Responsibilities

• Lead product development projects by collaborating with various functions inside and outside of NAVAC Inc.
• Follow up on product development activities from concept to final production.
• Maintain and control product development schedules.
• Develop and deliver products that meet or exceed market requirements.
• Conduct product market research, including features, brands, channels, pricing, and programs.
• Perform product teardown analysis for competitive benchmarking.
• Prepare market competitive landscape reports and issue reports related to advancing the business.
• Understand product lifecycle from conception to retirement.
• Own the product roadmap.
• Work with Engineering on detailed product specifications and technical requirements.
• Align product market needs with manufacturing, operation, and service support organizations.
• Negotiate and secure the best costs with OEMs and manage vendor agreements.
• Develop marketing materials for launching new products and conduct sales training as needed.
• Proof use and care guides to ensure user-friendliness.
• Work with Engineering on product testing and quality evaluation.
• Maintain communication with factories for related issues and cost reduction opportunities.
• Support other NAVAC team members as appropriate.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or Electrical Engineering; advanced degree is a plus.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in the HVAC industry, with at least 3 years as a Product Manager.
• Basic engineering understanding or training, equivalent to a BS degree in Engineering or 3 years of relevant experience.
• Excellent communication skills in written, oral, and presentation formats, tailored to the audience.
• Results-oriented, energetic, proactive, dedicated, and dependable.
• Understanding of P&L statements, product distribution, and new product creation processes.
• Ability to work in a multi-cultural environment and manage long-distance relationships.
• Fluency in English and Chinese is preferred.
• Strong team player with leadership ability to manage and motivate multi-functional teams.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and deliver solutions timely.
• Creative and open to new ideas, detail-oriented yet strategic.
• High proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
