About the position

Legrand is seeking a Product Manager to oversee the complete management of a designated product line within the Legrand | DAT Team in New London, CT. This role involves product development, sales support, promotional activities, and strategic planning, with a focus on revenue growth and margin performance. The Product Manager will collaborate with various internal teams and external stakeholders to ensure the product line meets market needs and drives business success.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the assigned product line to reflect customer and market needs, and identify new business opportunities.
  • Oversee the new product development (NPD) funnel for the product line.
  • Support commercial activities, including field visits and participation in industry events.
  • Assist in the development of marketing collateral such as catalogs and training videos.
  • Monitor product line metrics, including revenue growth and gross margin performance.
  • Conduct market research to identify growth prospects and new markets.
  • Participate in strategic planning for market share growth and profitability.
  • Manage product lifecycle, updates, and end-of-life strategies.
  • Handle pricing, configurator, and quote tools initiatives.
  • Manage information required for business operations, including inventory and forecasting.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, or related fields.
  • 2-4 years of experience in marketing, engineering, or a related field.
  • Knowledge of fiber optic, structured cabling, or data center connectivity markets is a plus.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills with attention to detail.
  • Excellent project management skills and ability to manage multiple projects.
  • Ability to interface cross-functionally and maintain open communication.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Solid business acumen and understanding of various functional areas.
  • Proficient in negotiation and influencing skills.
  • Highly motivated with a strong sense of ownership and accountability.
