About the position

The Product Manager for Reach-in Door Cases at Dover Food Retail will oversee the product portfolio throughout its lifecycle, focusing on new product development, customer insights, and market strategies. This role is pivotal in driving growth and innovation in the food retail and refrigeration sectors, ensuring that products meet customer needs and market demands.

Responsibilities

  • Manage product portfolios throughout the product lifecycle from planning to execution.
  • Conduct regular Voice of Customer (VOC) assessments to identify market trends and customer needs.
  • Develop comprehensive product definitions and simplify product lines for guided selling.
  • Collaborate with corporate market research to determine market size and growth opportunities.
  • Maintain market focus through regular contact with customers, sales, and marketing teams.
  • Support sales management in identifying growth opportunities and new product ideas.
  • Work with marketing on advertising and promotional campaigns for product launches.
  • Provide support and materials to sales, customers, and channel partners regarding products and applications.
  • Develop and update technical marketing materials in collaboration with the TAG team.
  • Provide project management support for major cross-functional projects and product management initiatives.
  • Attend regional and national sales meetings and conferences to present products and gather insights.
  • Collaborate with pricing teams to strategically position pricing and discount levels for products.
  • Perform competitive analysis to establish price/value positioning for the product portfolio.
  • Support customer requests for product modifications and conduct monthly reporting on key metrics.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in business or a related field such as economics, communication, advertising, marketing, or statistics.
  • 3 to 5 years of combined experience in Product Management, Market Analysis, Category Management, or Sales Management.

Nice-to-haves

  • Master's degree or MBA preferred.
  • Experience in food retail or refrigeration industry preferred.
