At a Glance Legrand has an exciting opportunity for a Product Manager to join the Data Center Power and Control Division Team. This is a remote position reporting to New London, CT. The Product Manager will be responsible for complete management of designated product line: product development, sales support & training, promotional activities, forecast of revenue, inventory and operations performance (capacity, cost, pricing, gross margins), and strategic planning leveraging market knowledge and research. Main Activities: The Product Manager will be an individual contributor working alongside peers managing other product lines. The role requires extensive interaction with various internal teams, including engineering, marketing, operations, customer support, pricing, and sales, as well as external stakeholders such as customers, contractors, distributors, consultants, and vendors. Fiscal responsibilities include driving revenue growth and margin performance for the assigned product line, which encompasses pricing strategy, supplier selection, value-add engineering, and management of inventory, including excess and obsoletes (E&O). What Will You Do? You will take ownership of the new product development (NPD) funnel for your assigned product line, ensuring it aligns with customer and market needs, identifies new business opportunities, and implements cost improvements to existing products. You will support commercial activities to ensure the success of the product line, which includes field visits, collaborating with marketing for product launch activities, participating in industry events and tradeshows, and supporting the training team. Additionally, you will be responsible for creating marketing collateral such as catalog development, sell sheets, product bulletins, training videos, and campaigns. You will also manage product line metrics, ensuring targeted revenue growth, gross margin performance, service levels, and E&O management are achieved. Participation in sales and operations planning (S&OP/SIOP) will be essential to share product forecasts with sourcing and manufacturing teams. Conducting market research to understand growth prospects, proposing new markets and verticals, and providing an overall outlook for the product line will be part of your responsibilities. You will also participate in strategic planning to ensure a continued path for market share growth, profitability, and competitive benchmarking. Other similar and related duties may be required as needed.
