About the position

The Product Manager at Stax will play a crucial role in driving the bank payment processing platform initiatives, focusing on optimizing processor integration, approval rates, and cost efficiency. This position requires strong leadership skills to manage cross-functional teams and ensure compliance with merchant risks and bank processing capabilities. The ideal candidate will also contribute to modernizing and scaling the platform for significant growth.

Responsibilities

• Drive bank payment processing platform initiatives focused on processor integration, approval rate, cost optimization, and new product rollout.
• Partner with cross-functional teams and vendors to identify gaps and opportunities in the current payment processing platform.
• Prioritize the product backlog balancing near-term deliverables and long-term technology investments.
• Analyze data using dashboarding tools and queries to identify opportunity areas.
• Develop optimization hypotheses by analyzing data, understanding industry trends, and processing partner capabilities.
• Act as the product evangelist and partner closely with business customers, analytics partners, and engineering leaders.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
• 3+ years of experience in product management or related technical role.
• 2+ years of deep experience in ACH payments domain.
• Strong data orientation and analysis capabilities (Dashboarding, SQL).
• Familiarity with API testing tools like Postman or similar.
• Familiarity with Jira and other Atlassian tools.
• Ability to write epics and user stories in Agile methodology.
• Ability to decompose complex use cases into component requirements.
• Ability to lead Agile pod towards execution of roadmap items.
• Ability to lead meetings with senior executives both internal and external.
• Ability to document problems and escalate when necessary.
• Ability to write test cases and perform user acceptance testing.
