About the position

The Product Manager at Globus Medical is responsible for overseeing the development and management of medical device products, ensuring they meet market needs and regulatory standards. This role involves creating strategic business plans, coordinating project activities, and collaborating with various departments to deliver innovative solutions that enhance patient care.

Responsibilities

  • Create and manage project plans for each project in conjunction with the engineer.
  • Lead coordination and documentation of project team activities including kick-off meetings, design review meetings, and verification/validation activities.
  • Create strategic business plans that include market analysis, product opportunities, product positioning, product lifecycle planning, financial and sales projections, and commercialization strategies.
  • Develop market plans for each product introduction.
  • Perform and maintain market analysis by each product segment to identify new product offerings and line extensions.
  • Forecasting and inventory management for all projects/products in the group.
  • Work closely with purchasing and operations departments to source products through the Globus supply chain.
  • Develop technique guides, product literature, brochures, sales binders, and all sales support information.
  • Assist Group Engineering Manager and Project Engineer in creating sales, surgeon, and management presentations in PowerPoint.
  • Ensure timely and high-quality documentation of DHF's, DMR's, and DHR's for each project according to Globus quality policy and regulatory standards.
  • Work with Clinical R&D and Sales & Marketing to identify clinical research topics for each product.
  • Plan, organize, and execute courses and symposia for specific product introductions in conjunction with sales and clinical R&D.
  • Obtain market feedback from spine surgeons and other customers to determine functional and design specifications for new product development.
  • Represent the company professionally to regulatory bodies, Medical Board of Directors, Clinical Investigator Groups, surgeons, and sales force.
  • Assist in IDE site training as required.
  • Assist with order taking and customer service activities.
  • Assist with receiving, inspection, and testing of all vended products.
  • Participate in management meetings on strategic initiatives and business planning.

Requirements

  • 3-5 years' experience in medical device or related field in Product Development, Product Management, and/or Marketing in a fast-paced environment.
  • Bachelor's Degree required.
  • Experience managing products through their lifecycle, with an emphasis on managing a successful product launch.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office; specifically Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Project is required.
  • Well organized, detail-oriented, and a team player capable of working in a deadline-driven environment.
  • Strong ability to create and confidently deliver effective presentations to multiple size audiences.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Ability to travel up to 15-20% of the time.
