About the position
The Product Manager (PM) plays a crucial role in the brand and product management team, focusing on the Retail Value Added Poultry (RVAP) private label business. This general management position involves leading cross-functional teams in planning, execution, and analysis of business initiatives, with P&L responsibility. The PM is tasked with developing strategic business plans to meet corporate and brand objectives related to volume, profit, and market share.
Responsibilities
- Lead private label RFP and Bid process with key customers.
- Develop and execute private label strategy including contract negotiations and strategic pricing decisions.
- Monitor performance measurements to ensure business goals are met and implement corrective actions as needed.
- Analyze data to identify insights and translate them into actionable business initiatives.
- Lead inventory reporting and action plans to manage demand effectively.
- Coordinate quality cuttings to align product attributes with customer expectations.
- Manage monthly volume forecasts for assigned categories, ensuring accuracy between demand and supply planning.
- Support the development of business objectives and marketing plans for assigned categories.
Requirements
- An MBA or equivalent education/experience is required.
- A minimum of 4 years of relevant marketing experience is required.
- Demonstrated strong analytical and strategic thinking skills are required.
- Strong communication and presentation skills are required.
- Proven ability to effectively manage multiple projects in a dynamic environment is required.
- Strong collaboration skills with the ability to lead cross-functional teams.
Nice-to-haves
- Experience with Nielsen and/or IRI is preferred.
- Participation in tasting and input within quality cuttings (meat products).
